Can pain be beautiful?
My take is it all depends. And I am not referring to twisted BDSM.
Like a 2-hour tattoo session, it hurts, it burns. Like a 4-year old sitting in the backseat during a road trip I kept asking the artist “Are we done yet” every 20 seconds.
When its over and you see the new bold design inked permanently on you, that pain evolved into joy and a sense of victory that you are still alive after all that sh*t.
And thats not the only manifestation of pain into beauty. You dont need a big tattoo to experience that born again experience.
When you hit bottom of the ocean, all alone in darkness, and can barely move an inch, that pain is indescribable. To crawl out of that hellhole there may not be anything or anyone to cling on except your own finger nails to scrap forward inch by inch.
Acknowledge the pain. Accept the pain. Look at it in the eye and say “go fu#k yourself.”
And then…………… EMBRACE THE PAIN AS A FRIEND.
Because a friend may brutally pushes and lifts you. Helps you to heal and want to see you eventually flourish brilliantly like sunflowers in the meadows at noon.
If you authorize it, it can transform you beyond what you can imagine. Even those ugly bloodied cracked finger nails will grow back eventually and beautified with a new nail polish.
“And you know whats the best thing about pain? “It lets you know you are not dead yet.”
